You all remember when you logged onto Instagram and all you saw was what everyone was eating that day? Instagram used to be the mecca of food photos. While you can still bask in the glory of food porn here and there, it's now a mixture of travel, lifestyle, tea (lookin' at you, Shade Room) and more. That doesn't mean we can't get a good photo at the hottest spots still, right? Enter, Miami. It's known for being a melting pot of culture, and quite frankly, that's why it's one of the best cities on the East Coast to treat yoself. For me, it's all about atmosphere and design when it comes to a good photo, and I've got a solid list of 10 damn good places you should check out.
Let's start off this list off with 1800 Lucky.
Address: 143 NW 23rd St, Miami, FL 33127
If you're into ramen, drinks, Asian or Vietnamese food, this is your SPOT! They even have fish-shaped ice cream cones for crying out loud. Like, who does that? A super fly food dining hall, that's who. Their menu is off the charts and the atmosphere is to die for. Lookin' for a solid spot to take the ultimate food pic? This is the spot to start at.
Up next we have The Salty Donut.
There's nothing like treating yourself to something sweet, especially if it's from an artisanal donut shop. With sweets out of this world like the guava & cheese donut to their seasonal selection like the pumpkin spice donut holes, you'll definitely find what you're looking for in here. Hell, they have a damn donut wall for crying out loud. How could you NOT go check it out!?
Obviously I'm a ramen lover. I'll admit that because we're now looking at K Ramen. Burger. Beer.
Address: 150 20th St, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Not only are they named one of the best spots for a poke bowl in Miami, but they have neon signs every damn where. They're practically asking for selfie hoes like myself to go in, eat, and take mad selfies unapologetically. And, well, that's what I do. SO, there's that. Their menu is pretty baller as well, so if you check it out, share your photos with us by using the #ChecktheVibes hashtag on IG.
Enough of the ramen, amiright?! Let's check out Moreno’s Cuba in Miami.
Address: 1850 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Feel like dancing around in a saucy dress in Havana like Camila Cabello did? Well, like, please don't do that here. Haha! Wear the saucy dress though, because this cute little outdoor bar is Havana with a small touch of vintage Miami. They've got it all to the pink booths, 60's inspired bar down to the carnival lights stringed along the partially covered patio. Perfect for the colorful, vintage Instagram lover.
Cafe's are my kryptonite, low-key and MIAM CAFÉ doesn't disappoint.
Address: 2750 NW 3rd Ave Suite 21, Miami, FL 33127
This cute little spot is said to be Wynwood's best kept secret, and I ain't shit because well, I'm now telling the world. So, hey young world, are you a sucker for trendy cafe's and good vibes? Well, you owe me one because I'm tots introducing you to Miam. Meaning "yum" in french, it's sure to live up to its name. With a hipster style menu, coffee you'd be mad you didn't taste earlier in life in an artsy location, it's honestly the best spot to have breakfast or brunch. But wait, there's more (I'm dramatic, I know). They even have Happy Hour in the evenings! Like, what?! I asked if I could move in but apparently it's like, against policy or some BS like that. *rolls eyes*
Pro-Tip: They have aioli there. Like, I don't know what that means to you, reader, but it means a lot to me.
Say what you want about Little Havana, but that place has everything. Even the historic Ball & Chain restaurant.
Address: 1513 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135
This awesome places dates back to 1935, and it has some pretty crazy history. After being bought by felon Ray Miller and Henry Schechtman in the 1950s, things got a little wild. Apparently, Henry Schechtman was involved in a Jewish mob, served prison time and even dabbled in a little bootlegging here and there. Their first 25 years in business was a roller-coaster ride, with the Ku Klux Klan even trashing the place, viewing it as a den of iniquity. Ball & Chain was a haven for black performers back in the day, and all this history is evident in the atmosphere today. With that old-world vibe, live music and damn good drinks at their Cuban-styled bar, you definitely get that vintage Miami feel. It amazes me that they've been able to keep that architecture in this day and age. Even the renovations remain vintage. Pretty cool right? This place is worthy of ALL the photos, I swear!
Wanting to go to Greece but don't have the funds? Mandolin Aegean Bistro is a delightful substitute for the time being.
Address: 4312 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33137
Nestled in Miami's Design District, you'll be in another country in no time as soon as you step through the door. By far, Mandolin has the best Greek food in all of Florida. It's unbelievable how this place is set up and it's clear that the best seat in the house is the patio. They even have a sister store called, "Mrs. Mandonlin". It's a lifestyle boutique that doubles a cute little Mediterranean cafe.
Looking to go back in time? Visit Marion Miami.
Address: 1111 SW 1st Ave, Miami, FL 33130
Decked out with a '50s-esque bar and pink and white marble floors, this is the spot to be in Miami! On Thursday nights, a reservation may be needed as they have fantastic Thursday Soirée dinner parties. Paired with live music and great company, you won't want the night to end. Well, it doesn't have to, as their El Tucan nightclub is right next door.
The Neo-Tiki Lounge by Phu Yea called Madame Phoung is a VIBE, ya'll.
Address: 7100 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33138
What's better than late night Pho, good vibes, great tiki drinks and decor to swoon over? NOTHING, it just doesn't get any better than that. YES, I'm aware this is another ramen joint but like, judge me, okay? This place was just too good to not recommend.
Last but not least, I introduce to you, Veza Sur brewing Co. in Miami.
Address: 55 NW 25th St, Miami, FL 33127
Decked out with bookcases on the inside and metal beams with carnival lights draped around the patio on the outside, no matter where you sit and enjoy your locally brewed beer, you'll be in good company aesthetic wise. With a menu that includes Peruvian cuisine, and a setting that includes live music, it's no wonder this has become a hot destination to chill out and vibe at.
I know I said I'd only list 10 locations, but honorable mention just HAS to go to one of my favorite spots in Hollywood, FL. GoBistro!
Address: 2035 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL 33020
From fresh sushi, PERFECT ramen, friendly community seating and decor similar to a hot spot in Japan, you'll easily fall in love with this location. It's in Broward and I'm convinced this is what heaven's restaurants are like. Fight me!
