Nickelodeon's Musical Guest Were All That!

Now this is just an introduction, before I blow your mind, the show is All That and yes we do it all the time! So, sit ya booty on the floor or in a chair, ground or in the air, just DON'T GO NO-WHERE!

Brings back a nostalgic feel, doesn't it? Looking back, this 90s comedy sketch show may have been the platform to introduce some of our readers to their favorite artist they know and love today. Whether or not they were appropriate appearances on the show is a different question. Then again, a lot of our childhood tv shows had jokes that went way over our heads as kids. Remember when Animaniacs made that "fingerprints" joke about Prince? We all know Rocko from Rocko Modern's Life worked as a phone sex operator. There's also that time on Rugrats when Grandpa Pickles told Tommy and Chucky that his favorite late night video to watch was of Lonely Space Vixens. We see you Grandpa Pickles with your VHS porn! The list is endless!

There's no surprise that us millennials grew up extremely un-sheltered, and thankfully so! It's what makes revisiting these shows so fun as an adult, as there's a different tone in some of the cartoons that influenced us more than we knew. That's what brings us to All That.

One of Nickelodeon's hidden gems were it's legendary musical guests on All That, some of which are no longer here with us today. The kids version of SNL lasted for ten seasons, and in their first season alone, they landed TLC (who also did their theme song), Erykah Badu, Usher, Coolio, Lauryn Hill (mind you, this was back when she was on time for events!), Outkast, Aaliyah... they even booked Craig Mack on there! Hell, All That was our 106 & Park before 106 & Park was our 106 & Park!

We always talk about MTV and BET when it comes to musical performances that we miss, but we think we have to add All That in the conversation, as their musical legacy is right up there with the big stations and shows. Here are 18 memorable performances from the show that you may have forgotten:

1). Aaliyah - One in a Million

Season 3, Episode 16

Having appeared on the children's show multiple times, this performance was key in teaching us how cool this woman was. Smooth dance moves, relaxed background dancers and smooth vocals paired perfectly with her life jacket vest. Her demeanor, tone and vibe was angelic on stage. How many of you first crushed on her from this performance?

2). Aftermath ft. Kel Mitchell - Watch Me Do My Thing

Season 1, Episode 15

3). Salt N Pepa - R U Ready?

Season 4, Episode 17

4). Outkast - Rosa Parks

Season 5, Episode 11

5). Mya - Movin' On

Season 5, Episode 7

6). 112 - Love Me

Season 5, Episode 11

7). Deborah Cox - Nobody's Supposed To Be Here

Season 5, Episode 4

8). Destiny's Child - No, No, No, No

Season 4, Episode 14

9). Aaliyah - Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number

Season 5, Episode 7

10). Monica - Angel of Mine

Season 5, Episode 5

11). Nas - Street Dreams (Remix)

Season 3, Episode 10

12). Da Brat -Fa All Ya'll

Season 1, Episode 2

13). Ice Cube - We Be Clubbin'

Season 4, Episode 19

14). Immature - We Got It!

Season 2, Episode 15

15). Blaque - Bring it All To Me

Season 6, Episode 2

16). Mya ft. Blackstreet - Take Me There

Season 5, Episode 1

17). Craig Mack - Flava In Ya Ear

Season 1, Episode 5

With Flava in Ya Ear still on the music charts, Craig Mack came out of his shell to put in a hell of a performance. We're guessing the kids in the audience knowing all the words to the song made him even more hype, as they sang along with him in the chorus.

18). The Lox - If You Think I'm Jiggy

Season 4, Episode 20

The Lox performed on Season 4, Episode 20, and they made sure to censor what they could. "Since Nickelodeon, you been tracking me down!" Haha!
